In a large pot, pour in the apple cider and cranberry juice. Add the packed brown sugar and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Add the orange rounds, cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, allspice berries, ground nutmeg, and ground ginger to the pot. Stir gently to distribute the spices. I like to press the orange rounds lightly with a spoon to release a bit more citrus flavor.
Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Once it starts to simmer, reduce the heat to low. Let the cider simmer for at least 20 minutes to allow the flavors of the spices and orange to infuse into the drink.
Strain the hot cider through a fine mesh sieve to remove the spices and orange slices. Serve the infused cider warm in mugs and enjoy!
